Although I’m not into this kind of reading material, I must say this book has spark an interest to read more from the author. Like they say never judge a book by its cover.

I appreciate a good book, I'm happy when I find a good one and I'm ecstatic when, a few sentences in, I find a gem! What a great story, I could truly see this in theatres! Well written, intriguing and will make for a great gift, must read!

Awesome writer; and the book was a great price for content

The story of this Cape Verdean girl was fresh in so many ways, and well written!

When I read this book, I found myself not being able to put it down at all. I liked how towards the end the story came full circle in terms of the main female character. The interesting part was when the mother's perspective was being used. It brought the story that much more to life. The world building was pretty good and the relationship between the main female character and the main male character was amazing and I felt the romance throughout the whole thing. You won't be disappointed from reading this book, it's just simply outstanding.

Pocketbook Diaries was a charming and cleanly written story, woven with love and adventures, and the magic you find in your wildest dreams. It was a thoughtful idea to have a magical passage between the human world and the world of the Ancient Greek gods, and the idea of the pocketbook and its magic made it all that more exciting.

A wonderful read that will keep you hooked until the end. A wonder escape from all that is real to a world that hooks you until the very end. It’s as if you were living in the world created by the author, it pulls you in and puts you in the story as a character in itself. A worthwhile read

I read a couple pages of the Book and couldn’t put it down, the Author has went to the deepest part of her imagination to create such an awesome book!!! A must read book

This book provides all  elements needed to keep you turning the page. The author did a good job bringing the characters to life. Now all we need is Spielberg to make the movie! Bravo.

This is one of the best I have read. I couldn't wait to see what happens next.I was totally captivated and found it very hard to put down. Zyaire is a lovable character and I love how her history is woven throughout the book. Acaeus is a mystery unfolding and the rest of the characters has there own stories to unveil. The book is written in a way that I can see each character in my mind. I cannot wait until Part 2! L.C. Rodgers is Brilliant!

This book was just as riveting as the first, if not even more so! I hadn’t thought that I could be more invested in the storyline than I had been in the first book, but clearly I was wrong. With each twist I found myself being pulled even deeper into their world and in turn falling in love with it all the more. The romance, the magic, the character and world building, they all serve to pull the reader even deeper in and hold onto them the entire story. I cant wait for the next book!

My thoughts on the book pocketbook diaries are that the book was overall amazing. It kept me coming back for more with the amazing title's for the chapter's, and all the interesting secrets that were made visible throughout the story. There were so many surprising events that happened, and it made the books so much more interesting. Everybody had a role and I was interested in everything that was happening. I hope I get a chance to be able to read more of this series, and hopefully more of them come out soon! 

I was loaned this book after someone saw me reading all the time. What an incredible work of art! It gave me not only memories of youth but also growing up, solace and especially, fascinating language.
